The Warrior of Light Extreme Guide

Introduction
In the Seat of Sacrifice (Extreme) players will face off against the Warrior of Light (WoL). Players must complete the quest “Hope’s Confluence” and talk to the Minstreling Wanderer in the Crystarium (X:7.5 Y:12.5). The required item level to enter is 480 or higher. This fight was added to the game onAugust 10, 2020 in Patch 5.3.

In Phase 3 the WoL will summon spectors of light in random order. Each comes with their own set of mechanics and each will be summoned once.

Mechanic Overview
Limit Break
The Warrior of Light targets one tank, one healer, and one DPS with a large cone-shaped AOE that deals physical damage.
Both healers are targeted with an unmarked stack mechanic. The stack inflicts a physical vulnerability debuff and deals physical damage, preventing players from being able to be hit by both sets.
Either all four tanks and healers or all four DPS will be targeted. Radant Meteor is a large unmarked AOE that inflicts Fire Resistance Down, preventing players from surviving being hit by more than one.
A huge raidwide damage attack. A full level three tank Limit Break is required to survive.
Imbued Saber
A narrow cone shaped AOE that deals moderate magic damage. Many players refer to this as “Earthshakers.”
A stack mechanic that deals magical damage.
Inflicts players with the Pyretic debuff for 3 seconds. Any player action or movement taken while Pyretic is applied will incur heavy damage.
Inflicts Deep Freeze on players if they are not actively moving when the cast bar resolves. Deep Freeze locks players in place and they take heavy damage over time.
Specter of Light
- Katon: 4 DPS are marked with a stack mechanic. Inflicts Fire Resistance Down II.
- Suiton: A large water spout appears at the edge of the arena that inflicts a knockback to players.
Surecast andArm's Length will prevent the knockback.
- Blade of Shadow: Physical tankbuster dealing heavy damage.
- Deep Darkside: the Warrior of Light will gain a damage up buff if not interrupted.
- Brimstone Earth: Four DPS are marked. When the cast resolves, an expanding puddle will appear where markers were dropped. Puddles cannot touch each other or they will explode.
- Deluge of Death: A marker appears on three players, a tank, healer, and DPS, forcing this players to spread apart to reduce the damage.
- Flare Breath: Four dragons appear at the corners of the arena. Each will attach to a random player inflicting Fire Resistance Down II and repeatidly dealing light magic damage in a small cone AOE towards them.
- Fatal Cleave: Tankbuster dealing heavy physical damage.
- Berserk: The Warrior of Light will gain a damage up buff if not interrupted.
- Perfect Decimation: Flour players are marked, and a small cone shaped AOE will be cast at them.
- Meteor Impact: Eight towers appear that must be absorbed by two players each. Absorbing a tower inflicts Fire Resistance Down II and deals light magic damage. When a tower is not absorbed before it detonates, a large magic damage raidwide is inflicted on the party, and every member is inflicted with a vulnerability debuff and a damage down debuff.
General Fight Mechanics
All players are reduced to 1 HP and recieve the True Walking Dead debuff. This debuff will kill players if they are not healed to 100% of their HP.
All three limit break bars are filled.
An AOE spawns under all players except the player currently tanking the boss.
If rings appear around the Warrior of Light’s sword, a doughnut AOE will appear around the boss. If orbs appear around the Warrior of Light’s sword, a large round AOE will appear under him.
Three swords are summoned which move around the arena which will inflict damage in triangles. The safe spot will be on the wall where the swords did not pass, on the left or right – but not in the middle.
A look away marker appears above a random player. All others need to look away before the Absolute Flash cast bar resolves.
A wyrm is summoned that will damage half of the arena.
A tank swap mechanic. A heavy physical tankbuster is applied to the current tank, and they are inflicted with a physical vulnerability up debuff.
Heavy raidwide inflicting magical damage.
A doughnut shaped AOE or a large round AOE will appear.
Casts all four Imbued Saber mechanics and Absolute Flash in a random order.
Fight Strategy
