  • Heat almond bark in 20 second increments until completely melted (stirring between).
  • Next, add about 4 drops of the green food gel to the almond bark and stir it until mixed well. If the color needs to be a little darker, add one more drop.

Note: Keep in mind the green colors may look a little different but should be the same once they are cooled.

Step 7: Decorate the Fudge

  • Gently pour the almond bark into piping bag and snip off a small tip end.
  • Drizzle top of the fudge with almond bark and immediately place a red candy heart sprinkle on top.

Tip: If you don’t have a piping bag, you can use a freezer bag. Just snip off the tip end of one of the corners.

Let cool completely and serve!

Variations:

  • Chocolate chips: We made a white chocolate fudge because it allows the green color to really pop. But you can always leave out the food coloring and use milk chocolate chips instead.
  • Extracts: Peppermint flavor goes great with white chocolate. You can add a little bit of peppermint extract to the chocolate mixture instead of the vanilla. You can also use almond extract, rum extract or maple extract for a fun twist.
  • Nuts: Add a little crunch to your batch of fudge with chopped pecans or walnuts. Be sure to chop them up finely so that the fudge will cut into smooth squares.
  • Decorations: The little red heart gives this Grinch fudge the perfect finishing touch. To add even more festive colors for the holiday season, you can add additional Christmas sprinkles.
  • Other add-ins: You can add all sorts of fun things to make this traditional fudge recipe a really special treat. Try adding in finely chopped pretzels pieces, Rice Krispie cereal or mini marshmallows.

Freezing this fudge, is a great way to get a jump on all your treat making. Just wrap the cooled and firm fudge tightly in plastic wrap them slip it into freeze safe container. or freezer bag as to keep it extra fresh.

To thaw, simply take it out of the freezer and let it thaw on the countertop, just until you’re able to cut it into squares.

Can I Make This a Microwave Fudge Recipe?

White chocolate melts best when you use a double boiler because you want it to heat very gently. But you can make it in the microwave if you prefer.

First melt the chocolate in microwave-safe bowl on medium in 30 second intervals, stirring after each interval, until smooth. Do not rush this step. Melt it slowly.

Once it is nice and smooth, stir in other ingredients and mix until smooth. Then pour into your square baking pan.
